By default, Afterplay loads your most recent save state when you open a game. However, you can load any state you desire by opening the game overlay.

Press the Settings & Saves button at the top-left to open the menu.

You should see several menus at the top of the screen, make sure the left-most one, "Saves," is selected.

For each of your save states, you will see a screenshot, and the controls below. Press "Load" to load the save.

The process for loading a manual save is identical, except you will want to first change to the "Saves" tab under the Saves menu, which are separate from your Autosaves. You can then press the Load button, the same as above.

There are also buttons you can enable for the touch controls for saving and loading states, and the functions can be mapped to a gamepad as well.
