  1. Getting started

Adding BIOS files

Occasionally, games have been released with features that require the system BIOS to be present. To add a BIOS, follow these steps.

  1. You will not be able to use save states from before the addition of your BIOS. Be sure to make an in-game save (SRAM) before adding BIOS files.

  2. Click your profile icon in the upper right of the Afterplay interface.

  3. Click "Settings"

  4. Navigate to the BIOSes section. In a web browser, this is visible in the list on the left. On mobile, you will need to open the "hamburger" menu on the far right to find it.

  5. Click "Select File" under the appropriate file type. NDS, for example, has three separate files, and you need to match them to the right sections. You may or may not need the firmware file.

  6. Disable the autoload state feature for your desired game.

  7. Load your desired game from SRAM (in-game save menu, not save state).
